Easy pickup and drop-off of the car near Lihue airport. Car seemed well-maintained and served the family well during a recent week on Kauai.

Ali’i was a great rental partner. The Passport worked great for us. It had plenty of room for 5 people, engine power, and a good sound system. It handled the drive up to the Waimea canyon great. Overall, the car and trip were great.

Super easy pickup and drop off, car was a fun drive around the island. I would rent here again.

Had to document numerous scratches, dents, staining, etc., car was smelly and key fob didn’t work 90% time. Disappointed battery was not replaced prior to my trip despite low key fob battery indicator displayed on dash. This was very inconvenient through trip. Otherwise, great customer service, gas mileage was great and enjoyed driving this small SUV around the island. Would use company again but a newer vehicle.

If you are coming off of a cruise ship, make sure you are capable of walking to the Alii lot. It is an uphill walk on a very busy road, that does not have sidewalks. They do not offer shuttle For cruise ship travelers. You could Take a cab. Our car was not ready at the appointed time, but was only 5-7 minutes late arriving. No issues with Our car. We parked in the lot overnight, which required another hike from the lot, another to pick up the car in the morning, then another when dropping the car off. There was an attendant taking customers to the airport. We asked if he could at least take us to the bottom of the hill(so we did not have to hike the busy road) and we’re told they could not. Not sure the reasoning on all that. Also, if renting, we learned afterwards, you can overnight park on the street at the bottom of the hill. Other than the parking /lack of shuttle service, the rental was fine.

Wonderful fuel efficient hybrid Wrangler! We used the same tank of gas all weekend and were able to cover a lot of ground. Alii rental cars is a great service as well.

Alii cars was SO easy to work with!! Highly, highly recommend using them for any trip to Kauai. I have 0 complaints. Will definitely use them on my next trip!
